Morning Makers: Slower Pace Beginner Cricut Crafting Class

Introducing our exclusivebeginner Cricut class designed for people that are eager to learn how to use the Cricut cutting machine but feel intimidated by the technology and need a slower pace. 

This daytime class offers a welcoming, supportive environment where you can learn at a comfortable, slower pace. Understanding that learning new technology can be daunting, this class is specifically trailered to the pace and interests of older adult learners.  

We focus on clear step by step instructions and provide plenty of hands on practise.  Our goal is to make learning fun, accessible and engaging regardless of your tech savviness.  

Total hours: 10 hours / 5 classes Tuesdays at 10:30 to 12:30.

Week 1: 

• Downloading the software and setting up your Cricut machine
• Creating an account to use the software Design Space
• Exploring the basics of Design Space
• Learn to search through Cricut's image library and font library

Week 2:

• Understanding different tools and materials
• Cut design started in week 1
• Learn about weeding and various techniques
• Transfer cut and weeded design onto a sign

Week 3:

• Working with Heat Transfer Vinyl
• Types of heat transfer vinyl
• Make and take project HTV: Create a tote

Week 4:

• Working with card stock 
• Create a Thank You card and cut out card.

Week 5:

• Decorate Thank You card using card stock.
