Hi, I’m Shelley! So many people tell me they’d love to make something but don’t know where to start. You don’t need a craft room, a Cricut or any experience. You just need a seat at our table, and we’ll take care of everything else.
That’s why we started Makers Mingle. It’s our workshop community: a welcoming spot for adults who love to make but want a little guidance, a plan, and some good company. We prep everything ahead of time and walk you through it step by step. You never need to already know what you’re doing.
You don’t need more supplies or another tutorial. You need the right space, a little support, and people who get it. Come make something with us. I’ll put the kettle on.

Not at all! Our workshops are made for adults at every skill level. We guide you step by step and help is always close by.
Some projects use a Cricut machine. New to Cricut? Book a private Cricut lesson and learn at your own pace before your workshop.
Nope! Everything you need is ready and waiting at your station. Just bring yourself (and maybe a friend).
Our workshops are planned so you finish in class. If something needs a little extra time, we’ll show you how to wrap it up at home.
Absolutely. Lots of people come on their own, and they rarely leave that way. It’s a friendly group and easy to chat while you create.
Yes! Bring your group for a birthday, shower, team event or night out and you’ll get your own private session. Email shopkeeper@uniquelywhynot.ca or call 365-662-3368 and we’ll plan it together.
Life happens! Cancel 7 or more days before your workshop for a full refund. Within 7 days, we can refund 50%. Cancellations within 48 hours aren’t refundable, since your supplies are already prepped.
A bit of both! You’ll get clear instruction, plus plenty of chatting and laughing along the way.
New workshops open to everyone at the same time, on our website and in our newsletter, so everyone gets a fair shot at a spot. Each workshop runs a few times a year on a weekday, a weeknight or a Saturday, so there’s a time that works for you. Workshops need at least 4 people to run.

I wasn’t planning on attending this workshop but I am glad I did. It was a lot of fun, and cool to learn a new still that did not involve my cricut machine. If the opportunity presents itself I suggest singing up for workshops here.

I recently bought two toddler cotton jersey tee from Uniquely why not Craft, and I’m really impressed. The fabric feels soft and high-quality, and it looks durable enough to handle everyday wear.
