The right tool for the job is a good rule of thumb. Nothing is more frustrating than trying to lift a vinyl decal with transfer tape that doesn't have enough stickiness to lift it. Some thicker/ heavier vinyls need more tack/ stickiness like holographic vinyl.
Printed squares make alignment easy, and easy to cut out the right size with precision.
